MH-50 | A Mediterranean-Bohemian Guest Retreat in Amioun

Nestled in the serene landscapes of Amioun, Lebanon, MH-50 is a 50 sqm guest retreat designed to evoke the essence of modern Mediterranean living with Bohemian influences. Inspired by Greek architecture, the space combines earthy tones, organic materials, and soft transitions to create an atmosphere that feels like an escape beyond Lebanon’s typical setting.

A Harmonious Fusion of Mediterranean & Bohemian Aesthetics

Arched Glass Facade & Circular Windows – Signature architectural elements that enhance the Mediterranean aesthetic while maximizing natural light.
Earthy Textures & Natural Materials – A combination of plastered walls, raw wood, and warm neutrals that ground the space in an inviting ambiance.
Split-Level Layout for Spatial Flow – The living area sits at a lower level, while the bedroom and bathroom elevate for privacy, maintaining an open yet intimate experience.
Soft Transitions & Layered ElementsArched openings, flowing curtains, and recessed lighting blend the indoor and outdoor experience with a touch of modern softness.

Designing for Openness & Privacy

The client sought an open-plan space that still provided privacy for the bedroom, a challenge resolved through:

  • Creating two distinct levels, naturally separating the living area from the sleeping space.
  • Framing the bedroom with an arched opening, softened by curtains for flexible privacy.
  • Maximizing light and ventilation with carefully positioned circular and full-height openings.

MH-50 is more than just a guesthouse—it’s a tranquil escape, blending the simplicity of Mediterranean architecture with the warmth of bohemian living, offering a retreat unlike any other.
