CS 394 | The Cocoon

A sanctuary of light and curve. The Cocoon invites you to slow down, disconnect, and rediscover comfort in the soft rhythm of space.

Tucked quietly in the heart of Bsalim, this beauty clinic was conceived as a cocoon, a space that softens the world outside and welcomes you into a calm, luminous rhythm. Designed as a new interior from the ground up, the project redefines what a wellness space can feel like: warm, flowing, and quietly luxurious.

The layout unfolds as one continuous open plan. The reception, waiting couch, and nail area exist within a single visual field, connected by movement rather than partition. This spatial continuity allows clients to drift seamlessly between functions, maintaining a sense of calm coherence throughout their visit. Curved walls and mirrored surfaces dissolve boundaries, amplifying depth and light while reflecting the subtle choreography of everyday gestures.

Materiality anchors the emotion. Light wood adds softness to the touch; pearly white marble grounds the palette with refinement; aluminum alloy introduces a quiet precision that balances the organic warmth of the curves. Each surface was chosen to echo the same intention, serenity through restraint. Indirect lighting gently washes the walls, accentuating the curves without glare, creating a diffused glow that mirrors natural daylight and softens the visual field.

The atmosphere speaks of calm luxury, understated, tactile, and human. Nothing shouts for attention; everything works in quiet harmony. The curves guide the body, the light traces the form, and the materials hold a subtle dialogue between warmth and clarity. Every detail, from the custom waiting couch to the fluid circulation lines, contributes to a feeling of ease and belonging.

This project doesn’t simply design a clinic; it designs a state of being. It allows visitors to disconnect from the city outside and enter a private sanctuary where comfort is both physical and emotional. The result is an interior that transcends function, a place where architecture becomes care, and beauty begins in the atmosphere itself.
